Abstract

Photodynamic inactivation (PDI) and NO-releasing chitosan nanoparticles (CSNPs) were associated to treat cutaneous leishmaniasis in mice to verify synergism between therapies. Parasite burden, lesion size and hyperalgesia were analyzed. CSNPs were not able to improve PDI.
