Experimental investigation of a polarization-imbalanced nonlinear loop mirror as a filter to clean up soliton pulses

Abstract

We used a polarization-imbalanced non-linear loop mirror to eliminate non desirable signals in soliton spectrum. The results show a rejection rate of 220 times of ASE, and practically total suppression of dispersive waves.
