Hemangioma vascular lesion characterization by Optical Coherence Tomography attenuation coefficient

Abstract

OCT was used to obtain optical attenuation coefficient from normal and vascular skin lesion, with a simple decay model. Lesioned skin presented 9.2% higher values than normal, which could be helpful for early hemangioma diagnosis.
