3D vision for diabetic footwear last design

Abstract

The diabetic patient has special footwear needs, a mismatch between the foot dimensions and the shoe can be a risk for ulceration. A three-dimension vision system was used to gather the foot dimensions of this population, a shoe last was developed which would help diabetic footwear better fit.
