Tunable Field Depth: Hyperbolic Optical Masks

Abstract

For controlling the depth of field of imaging devices, we unveil the use of tunable hyperbolic masks. We discuss several figures of merit, for reducing the influence of focus errors on the Modulation Transfer Function.
