Investigation of Stability and Instability Regions of Optical Vortex Solitons in a Saturable Focusing Medium

Abstract

We investigated the stable propagation of two-dimensional optical vortex solitons (OVS) in a saturable focusing medium. In addition, it was demonstrated the control of the OVS instability adding a Gaussian beam with adjustable intensity.
