Non-destructive measurements on ballistic materials using high speed interferometry

Abstract

We propose a non-destructive method to characterize ballistic materials using high speed ESPI and laser Doppler vibrometry. By determining the settling time on a transient test, we are able to classify three type of weaving patterns.
