Abstract

In this work we study of the linear propagation on three different sizes of channel waveguides consisting on spherical nanoparticles obtained by silver ion-implantation process in fused silica substrates. The effective refractive index of the propagation modes and the waveguide propagation losses were studied by waveguides mode analysis and the scattered light imaging method, as well as the intensity distribution of the coupled modes by coupling a pigtail of single mode optical fiber at 632.8 nm of a laser diode respectively.
