Some prospects for tuning mechanisms of rare earth doped fiber laser

Abstract

We describe and show the recent progress of two novel methods for tunability of fiber lasers. Ytterbium-doped fiber lasers and erbium-doped fiber lasers were demonstrated with tuning-ranges that goes from 8nm to 60nm.
