Abstract

We report an experimental transmission of constant-envelope orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (CE-OFDM) signals over short range multimode (MMF) links. The experimental results of the investigated peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction technique prove the potential of its application in 300 m of MMF in directly modulated laser (DML) systems using an 850 nm vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL).
