Abstract

We investigate the influence of silicon nanocystals on Er3+ doped TeO2-ZnO. Large enhancement of the photoluminescence is observed. This is the first observation of photoluminescence enhancement in Er3+ doped TeO2-ZnO composites due to silicon nanocrystals.
