Abstract

We demonstrate theoretically and experimentally optical manipulation in strongly scattering colloidal-suspensions: shock-waves of particles induced by radiation pressure and the gradient force, inducing local phase transitions, manipulating condensed nanoparticle ‘balls’ deep inside light diffusing suspensions.
