Abstract

In this study, we have performed time-resolved measurements using the Z-scan technique, to characterize the nonlinear optical properties of Nd3+:YAG crystal. Using a dye laser tunned at 590nm as excitation wavelength, we have investigated the absorption cross-section difference, , the polarizability difference, , between the ground and excited states and nonlinear index refractive n2, of neodymium. All the found results were compared with the literature.
