Abstract

Continuously tunable Vertical External Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VECSEL) have been realized, emitting in the 3–5 µm range. Pulsed output power at room temperature operation is > 10 mW_p, in the single Gaussian TEM₀₀ emission mode.
