Photonic Microring-Chip-Sensor for Explosive Detection

Abstract

A microring resonator sensor for selective and sensitive detection of the explosive TNT (trinitrotoluene) is discussed. The combination of integrated optics and specially developed receptor molecules is used for this optical sensing.
