Abstract

Sum- and difference-frequency mixing are used to extend the range of high-speed diode-laser-based absorption sensors to ultraviolet and mid-infrared wavelengths. Measurement bandwidths up to 20 kHz are demonstrated in laboratory flames and model combustors.
