The development of ultraviolet cavity ring-down spectroscopy for the detection of vapors of explosives and explosive-related compounds

Abstract

The detection of dinitrobenzenes and dinitrotoluenes by UV cavity ring-down absorption spectroscopy is investigated. We show that these compounds can be detected at sub-ppb concentration levels through measurements at a single wavelength.
