Trace Ammonia Monitoring for NASA Human Space Flight

Abstract

The development of cavity ringdown spectroscopy for atmospheric monitoring in manned space vehicles is reported. An external-cavity diode laser is used as to pump an optical cavity. Both ammonia and acetylene spectral results are presented.
