Abstract

It is presented a technique which makes it possible to simultaneously determine the temperature T and the partial pressure of carbon dioxide in gas mixture at barometric pressure by using the spectral distribution of the absorption factor at the oscillation lines of a tunable CO2 laser. The errors of determining the sought parameters σp and σT were calculated for both frequency stabilized tunable CO2 laser and unstabilized CO2 laser with frequency deviation from center one up to Δv=±30 MHz by the covariance matrix technique.
