Abstract

Generation of a supercontinuum with a maximum optical spectrum width of about 1420 nm at a -30 dB level is presented. For amplification in the spectral range of 1.5-2 mm, various amplifiers doped with ions such as erbium, thulium, or holmium were used. The maximum output power was 614 mW after used the holmium-doped fiber amplifier.
