Development of 1653.7nm DFB Laser for Methane Sensor

Abstract

A 1653.7nm DFB laser with multiple quantum Wells and ridged waveguide structures was fabricated to detect methane. The device performance has reached 54dB SMSR, 0.372 slope efficiency, saturated optical power greater than 20mW.
