Phase locked short pulses generation in a driven laser cavity

Abstract

We demonstrate theoretically and experimentally the existence of temporal solitons in a driven laser pumped below its oscillation threshold. Thanks to the cavity detuning, we show that ultra-short, high-power pulses can be generated.
