Spectral broadening in a hollow core capillary and post compression of millijoule picosecond pulses at 2 μm

Abstract

We present results from spectral broadening of 4.6 mJ picosecond-pulses from a Ho:YAG regenerative amplifier at 2.09 μm in a hollow core capillary. The spectrally broadened pulses are recompressed using a reflective grating compressor.
