Abstract

We demonstrate passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser using zinc-oxide nanoparticles Q-switcher for possible applications in telecommunication, laser processing, and medical community. Q-switched pulses were obtained with the minimum pulse width of 1.6μs at 87.3 kHz.
