Intensity Profiling of Femtosecond Air Filamentation Using Laser Ablation on Gold

Abstract

Profiling of the intensity in femtosecond air filamentation has been performed experimentally using dependence of ablation threshold of gold on angle of incidence. We found that the peak intensity is strongly dependent on the external focusing.
