A Gold-Coated Optical Microfiber Tip for Light Nanofocusing

Abstract

We proposed a gold-coated optical microfiber tip, and investigated its working principle and performance by numerical simulation. A small optical spot of ~8.5 nm with high enhancement factor was achieved.
