Abstract

Holographic data storage (HDS) system has large storage capacity and high transfer rate because the data is stored volumetrically in the media and read in form of a two dimensional (2D) page [1], [2]. However, as the recording density increases, 2D inter-symbol interference (ISI) simultaneously becomes severer due to the elimination of high-frequency component s of reproduced images, resulting in the deterioration in error rate [3]. Therefore, strong signal processing techniques are necessary required to achieve high density recording in HDS systems.
