Topological and vortex optics for machine vision

Abstract

We introduce a topological, phase-multiplicative transform for low-light imaging and low-cost image reconstruction. The hybrid, single-shot system solves the phase problem and provides a favorable trade-off, effectively boosting signal-to-noise by lowering resolution and sensitivity.
