Enhanced restoration of faulty images by Talbot amplification

Abstract

Talbot effect was shown to produce ‘self-healed’ periodic images from aperiodic objects. We experimentally demonstrate that the quality of such images can be enhanced through the recently demonstrated process of passive Talbot amplification.
