Abstract
A 360-degree light field recording system is proposed with a handheld light field camera and flat mirrors. A compact and one-shot light field capturing system is proposed in this paper. The overall studio consists of one commercialized light field camera and a couple of reflective plates. Without mechanical movement, light field from back and side parts of subjects is captured through a pair of mirrors. Owing to relatively large depth of focus of light field camera, a subject and its reflected images can be recorded on an image sensor. A position and orientation of mirrors are analyzed to optimize 360-degree light field recording. Experimental results are shown to verify the proposed recording system.
