In this paper, we introduce a novel approach for extraction of shoreline in 2-D intensity and 3-D LiDAR images obtained during the same or different time periods. The method involves computing coarse registration of the images , and subsequent refinement of extracted shoreline using homography information. The proposed approach outperforms the limitations of current shoreline extraction algorithms in literature
