Modeling the Performance of Fire Hazard Detection with Thermal Infrared Cameras

Abstract

The development of a performance model of fire fighters detecting fire hazards using a thermal infrared camera is explored. The efficacy of a nonlinear statistical approach and a standard infrared model (NV-IPM) are shown.
