Abstract
Optomechanical resonators, which in essence are systems in which a mechanical degree of freedom oscillates forced by the radiation pressure of the field within the cavity, have received a lot of attention in the last years. Most of the studies have considered a small number of modes either in the radiation or the oscillation fields. However multimode configurations can provide optomechanical systems with new capabilities, as the nonlinear interplay between many optical and mechanical modes entails the existence of correlations between them.
