Switching Phenomena in Bifurcation Amplifiers

Abstract

The bifurcation amplifier utilises the hysteretic switching of oscillator states in the readout of superconducting qubits. We employ quantum trajectory theory to study the accuracy, efficiency and backaction of this quantum measurement device.
