Spectral properties of entangled photons generated via type-I frequency-nondegenerate spontaneous parametric down-conversion

Abstract

We report experimental and theoretical studies on the spectral properties of entangled photons of cw-pumped type-I frequency-nondegenerate SPDC. We find that the entangled-photon pair exhibits spectral and temporal features commonly associated with type-II SPDC.
