Effects of Optical Feedback in InAs/GaAs Monolithic Quantum Dot Passively Mode-Locked Lasers

Abstract

The impact of optical feedback on the performance of a monolithic InAs/GaAs quantum dot passively mode-locked laser is experimentally investigated. We show that a feedback level greater than −25dB can be detrimental to mode-locking operation.
