Partial Cloning of a Continuous Variable Quantum State

Abstract

We present a universal optical amplifier performing near the quantum limit using a four-wave mixing nonlinear interaction. We show that one mode from a bipartite entangled state can be amplified and cloned while maintaining entanglement.
