Efficient Routing of Single Photons with One Atom and a Microtoroidal Cavity

Abstract

We demonstrate robust and efficient routing of single photons using a micro-toroidal cavity QED system. Single photons from a coherent input are sorted to one output of the fiber with excess photons redirected to the other.
