Abstract

Interest in studies of quantum dots (QDs) has intensified considerably in the last few years, as numerous groups have reported the optical spectra of individual QDs.1–3 The various methodologies remove the spectral blurring caused by inhomogeneous broadening in ensemble measurements revealing sharp resonances that result from the complete energy quantization of the zero-dimensional exciton.
