Abstract
In the last few years, a lot of theoretical and experimental work has been done to examine the properties of coherently prepared atoms. Quantum coherence and interference yield surprising effects like electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT)1 and lasing without inversion.2 Both the absorptive and dispersive properties have been studied.
