Abstract
Investigating of the dynamical behaviour of a physical system from a theoretical point of view, very often involves more or less tacit assumptions on the possibility of preparing the system in a given state at t = 0. Particular attention has been recently deserved to the generation of nonclassical states of the radiation in a cavity [1-3], It is easily understandable that the consideration of number states in this context, turns out to be particularly attractive in view of the peculiar role played by these states as prototype of nonclassical state.
