Abstract

We implement a novel variant of fluorescence-detected infrared-ultraviolet double resonance (IR-UV DR) spectroscopy [1] to investigate van der Waals (vdW) complexes such as acetylene-argon, C2H2-Ar.2 Infrared absorption by the vdW complex is recorded as a depletion of laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) intensity, providing a convenient way to measure rovibrational spectra of simple vdW complexes and to study their predissociation dynamics.
