Abstract
In Ref. 1 the conduction and valence band renormalization in the presence of the fixed intensive coherent electromagnetic wave k̅ with frequency Ω > wg resulting in the appearance of the electron spectra splitting 2λk̅ = 2A̅k̅D̅0 has been investigated. Here 2A̅k̅ is the vector potential amplitude, and D̅0 is the matrix element of the interband electron transition. The condition of the electron spectra renormalization observation is determined by the inequality 2λk̅ > γ = γc+ γv, where γc and γv are the inverse times of the electron scattering in the corresponding bands.
