Abstract

Injection-locking of conventional Fabry-Perot semiconductor lasers is an effective technique for achieving static and dynamic single-mode operation with a narrow linewidth.1 Noise characteristics of injection-locked diode lasers are of vital importance for their application in optoelectronic systems, for example, in coherent transmission.2 We report we believe the first numerical studies of frequency noise spectra in injection-locked semiconductor lasers.
