Abstract

The diamagnetic properties of the hydrogen atom or excitonic systems have important applications in physics. Experimental and theoretical studies on high Rydberg states of atoms led recently to fairly good understanding of this system. Especially, the quasi-Landau phenomena, experimentally discovered in 1969 was shows a manifestation of quantum chaos in a conservative physical system [1].
