Abstract

Ikeda and Mizuno[1] have indicated theoretically that frustration instability and -frequency locking exist in optical bistability with two time delay -feedback loops, Zhang and Dai[2] have observed experimentally the instability in a hybrid liquid crystal optical bistable device. In this paper we investigate the frequency locking structure and the route to chaos. Our system can be described by a delayed differential equation:
