Abstract

Now that observation of squeezed states of light1 has become feasible, there is a need for the explicit analytical form and numerical value of the nonlinear coupling constant occurring in the effective Hamiltonian.2 We analyzed the problem for squeezing in second harmonic generations3,4 by a fluid of polar molecules, oriented in an external electric field.5
