Abstract

A large class of Hermitian as well as non-Hermitian multiboson realizations of the Weyl, su(2), and su(1,1) algebras have recently been formulated.1,2 The group theoretical coherent states generated in terms of these boson realizations were investigated with respect to their squeezing properties. While some of the results may be of primarily formal significance, one specific case, the two-boson generalized Dyson realization of su(2), is proposed as a model for squeezing in a realistic situation, involving a finite number of photons.
