Abstract

We observed high-order (up to eighth) Stokes SRS, 2 orders of CARS emission, and the obvious decrease of the spot diameter of the higher-order SRS in a multimode fused-quartz fiber system. We assume that the cascade stimulated scattering, phase-matched four-wave mixing, and Raman-resonance-enhanced self-focusing process are the principal mechanisms to explain our experimental results.
