Abstract

By studying radiationless energy transfer (ET) in solution an averaged behavior of the system is observed. A higher degree of order can be achieved by reducing the system to two dimensions. This can easily be realized by adsorption of molecules on surfaces or by embedding them in monolayers of host molecules.
